Who would have possibly imagined that plot? Now ... I'm going to just take a wild guess: Much of the movie is spent with Adrianne, or however you spell her name, totally against it for obvious reasons. "Those days are over, Rocky! You have a son now!" And etc. Meanwhile, the promoter keeps digging, maybe even has the champ say something about Rocky or whatever. Who knows? Anyway, for whatever silly reason, just near the end, Adrianne(?) finally says something like, "Get him, Rocky." Or whatever. Cue the training music/scenes! Finally, we go to the Big Final Fight scene, wherein Rocky at first is losing really badly, but then he steels his resolve, or he gets in a good shot, or maybe just to change it up a little, he starts finding some crafty way to undermine his younger, stronger opponent, following the "old age and treachery" idea. Anyway, for whatever reason, he finally wins after having his face turned into something that looks like pizza. YAY ROCKY! Cue post-fight speech. It's a little incoherent, but it's inspiring. Sort of. Look, it's Adrianne shouting Rocky's name! "Rocky!" "Adrianne!" Aww, they embrace. The end. Cue ending music. Something like that?  _____________________

I see the fight scene more like Rocky is getting beat, then he takes his walker & clubs the guy with it. OR, he's so out of shape he uses his man-boobs to pummel the opponent in slow motion *Swoosh* FWAP *Swoosh* Fwap* Swoosh* ADRIANNE!!!!!! * Fwap * Opponent goes down!

I remember a scene in the early minutes of the movie "Airplane II: The Sequel" that had a poster for the movie "Rocky XXV" in it, displaying a teethless and skinny old man with sparse hair and thin arms, wearing boxer gloves. Hats off for Ken Finkleman who wrote the script and saw this coming twentyfour years ago.

I see the fight scene like in batman (the tv series) where everyone slows down, except Stallone will be going at his usual pace, they have to accomodate for his age you know

Personally, I think they should make the whole movie just a montage of him training, and then the next movie be a montage of the fight, that way, nobody will go to see either one because montages are boring and are too long.
And so is the Rocky movies. End. |
