Stolen unapologetically from another board -- not political, this is about design and taste.

The world's flags given letter grades

My favorite: "Libya - did you even try?"

My favorite flag: Kiribati.

Worst symbol: Falkland Islands - a sheep? Are you kidding?

Favorite:

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines: "Good effort for a country whose name sounds like a 50s rock'n'roll group."

My country got a B, but the comment was "Bad colours (sp?)," which just means they have no idea why the colors are what they are. My country used to be the wheat/bread capital of Europe/Eastern Europe, thus the flag is yellow half at the bottom representing wheat fields, with a blue half at the top representing skies. Oh well. I always thought yellow and blue was a pretty combo.

Dominicia: "Do not put a picture of a parrot on your flag! "

I couldn't agree more!

The simple designs seem the best to me, like Denmark, Finland, Japan and Canada.

I like what it says about Morocco: "Apart from the colours, this is a nice design, pentagram is a bit adolescent though."

Hilarious.

Being in the Navy, who's colors are blue and gold, I'd have to agree, Rasah!

yeah my favorite flag isn't a national flag anymore. I'm a big fan of the good ole' Stars and Bars, otherwise known as the Rebel Flag

A flag with a sheep on it?? Yay! I vote for that one!

I really like Barbados, but it should have had a red center to go with the pitchfork.

And where the hell IS Lesotho??

Tuvalu is nice too, though it recieved a failing grade.

It's one of those little land-locked countries inside of South Africa, along with Swaziland. If you go to Ladysmith and turn right ...

Hey, my other half and I learned all about the tiny tropical island of Niue from reading that site.... saw the flag, looked it up to find out where it was, and discovered all sorts of pretty interesting stuff. That site is funny *and* educational!
