I don't suppose there are any right handed people here using a left handed keyboard by any chance?

Strange... I'm left-handfed and had never even considered using a different keyboard layout. Never even knew such a thing as a 'left-handed keyboard' existed. Sure enough, web searches reveal all! That would take some getting used to after so many years of using a standard keyboard. I wonder if such a thing really is ergonomic for us sinister folks, or if its jsut a gimmick.

Both kinds have the cursor keys and numeric keypad on the left. One kind has the standard numeric keypad just moved to the other side, the other kind has the keypad both moved and flipped horizontally, a mirror image of sorts. I sometimes feel that the mousepad would be nicer moved to the left a bit but it has no place to go. A left handed keyboard would solve that. I suppose my left hand might start complaining then I have set an exercise bike up at the computer and am typing while pedaling now .

From: SuezanneC Baskerville I sometimes feel that the mousedpad would be nicer moved to the left I keep the mousepad and mouse on the left of my keyboard in order to be able to write right-handed while mousing. YMMV.

Why exactly would a right handed person use a left handed keyboard? This wins my daily most puzzling thread starter award!
