Today is the 37th anniversary of the day that John Lennon took "Ono" as his middle name. Following, a small celebration was held on the roof of the Apple building. Then John went and recorded the sound of his heartbeat for use on The Wedding Album.

"Yoko changed [her name] for me," he said, "and I've changed mine for her. One for both, and both for each other. She has a ring. I have a ring. It gives us nine O's between us, which is good luck. Ten would not be good luck. Three names is enough for anyone. Four would be greedy."
