Has ANYONE had a good month so far? I know I haven't.

March should be better, or else heads will roll. Probably mine.

I fuckin hate February, and probably will for years.

Yeah, February pretty much sucks every single year. Sucky weather, kids tired of school, teaching college students who are tired of school, a big event my university hosts that is a headache for everyone...and usually Valentine's Day totally depresses me (except this year ;)) So far February is only half-sucking this year.

I'm having a better February than I've had in 15 years but I'm not gloating or anything. The weather is still wretched. Then again, I just had a spate of weather 5% warmer than normal (ΔT = 13C) so "wretched" is relative too.

Hasn't been a bad month for me, either. The only bad thing is that I *still* haven't motivated myself into attacking my back garden (which has to be done before the spring, and it becomes impassible).

PS: I got Google Earth recently, and made the terrible discovery that the state of my back garden is visible from space!

It's been pretty good to my so far.

I got a $15k raise. I bought my first new car ever. (Toyota Prius and I love it!)

I am excited about what March will bring.

Well. It's been pretty stable. Until yesterday.

There was a snafu in the rent...
Because my direct deposited salary didn't hit the bank until the 2nd, when I tried to float a check on the 1st for rent, it landed... get this... on the 1st (damn the odds) and I was NSF'd but never notified. We thought (according to Wamu) that the check would be re-ran a week later. No biggie.

So Yesterday I was told they got a bounced re When I had to take off of work to WALK FIVE MILES (no car) to a bank to get a money order for rent + late fees. My roomate lost her job, and her car is now dead.

If I'm REEALLY lucky I'll be making rent for March by the skin of my teeth because no one ever listens to me when I'm right - until it's too late to do anything about it.
