Hey gang, it's been a while.

I've come for help. Does anyone know of a simple app that takes the input from your microphone at outputs it over your speakers? That's all I need it to do. For serious.

Thanks guys.

If you are using windows, you can just double click on the volume control (next to the time), go to options, enable advanced controls, then go to properties and enable the microphone volume control using the check boxes. Unmute the microphone and turn it up. You should now be able to talk and have it come out over your speakers (but if you turn it up too loud or have the speaker volume up too loud then you'll get feedback).

If you still can't hear anything, check to see (if using a professional quality mic) if your microphone requires batteries instead of running off phantom power.

Does that answer your question?

ooh, now do this with a laptop and some industrial strength speakers. Put it in your car and cruise down the street, point at some girl and say "hey baby, I'll be back to pick you up later".

Mister Microphone may be gone, but he is not forgotten.
