We have them here too. We call them "traffic monitoring systems" or "security" or "damn, that building just doesn't look right... I know, let's add some cameras hanging off the roof!"

I've had security called on me for taking pictures NEAR a Jewish community center a few months after 9-11. v_v
I actually even had the COPS called on me for being within a few hundred feet of the same community center at 10pm, looking for crickets for my scorpion. The cop that stopped me and I mutually thought the other was a moron. It was great. He was scared the terrorists were coming to get us all and I was stupid for not knowing that, and I was scared of him for being stupid and for him not even knowing what he was scared of.

thats why you gotta live in a poor town that chooses to spend its extra money on things like HUGE tv for the sargeants office...gotta love this town....big heroin problem big auto insurance fraud prob, big arson prob, and nothin changes

I;m not sure where, but I'm sure i once read the UK has more CCTV cameras than anywhere else per head of population.
