Man, derivitives, I hate those things...

PI is so old school even the Egyptians had that (well I can't PROVE they had it)

So, I guess I will have to go with 4. Occam's Razor :)

One. Because it's elegant.

#2, because it is reminiscent of Newton on his deathbed.

Just think of what an umlaut or two a day might have done for his health.

I think its doubly transcendental that you're such an exponent of the imaginary, Ulrika, cos it comes to nothing in the end. For this reason I choose (1).

On top of all that, it is the absolute negation of truth, which carries a message in itself.

I've had a sleep, and I've stopped laughing. A great day or two on the forums, eh ?

An unique outpouring of religious debate, with a comic element fit to split your sides. Like cheese with a good whine.

Perhaps we need a name for this outburst, to go down in forum history ?
Any suggestions ? I'm too busy to think of anything good.
Something to do with Dante? Divine Comedy? Divvycom day?

Oh forget it. Far too pretentious.

Or is it always this much fun in off-topic, and I've just never noticed ?

I kind of like this one...

The mass M of your rocket in kilograms (kg): M = (weight in ounces)/16/2.2 :D

#4 isn't an equation. So, just to be contrarian, I voted for it. :-)

I transcend Ulrika's simple lists and subsitute good old a^2 + b^2 = c^2... 'cause I use it one hell of a lot more in my day to day life. ;)
