I can't believe there even needs to be a poll for this! Feel free to post from your heart, but just be aware that if you post anything but Vermont, then you are a flag burning, slave trading, genocidal, pinko commie Canuckistani!

:D

I'm sorry, Kendra, but all products from New York are automatically disqualified on account of Hilary Clinton. :D

You're suffering from a pre 9-11 mentality. Your lack of support for NY Maple Syrup encourages terrorists.

OH, CANADA!

... But don't worry. We in Michigan are working on a plan to, ah, repatriate Canada with its rightful Fatherland, the U.S.

I agree. I had a special device installed just for getting canadian beer in my home:

For domestic beer, I stick to Arcadia or Bell's , both Michigan brands and very fine.

If you ever get a chance, try Bell's Oberon. You can only get it spring-fall, but it's... unique.

Nuff said on the Syrup front.

Canada has decent beer, but i'm more of an import junkie. Can't blame Holland for having quality products.

How can an American version of an original Canadian invention possibly be any better?

It's always best to go with the original IMO. :)

PS - Canada is where the US slaves *ran* to (so they could be free.)

PPS - "Canuckistani" is a actually a racist epithet referring to the large East Indian population of many Canadian cities. I don't care but others might.

Considering the fact that it could get alot worse, and nobody mentioned stereotypical workplaces, we should probably let "Canuckistani" slide under a motion of "too witty to complain about."

Lived in VT for a few years and loved the local syrup. Purchased Canadian syrup while I lived up there and realized they are basically the same. VT does Border Canada.

Even more yummy are the Maple Syrup Candies.

RE: Canuckistani reference. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Dianne. I honestly wasn't aware and would have left it out had I known. This whole thread is meant to be just for fun.

Yikes, I was totally unaware of that. I always thought it was an ancient reference to "what if the (former) Soviet Union took over Canada" (well, at least "Canuckistan";)
