I was reminded of this song when my friend made a passing comment about fallin in-love with female avatars only to find out they're guys during the EB (which happens almost every weekend) or finding out it's the guy playing beside you in an internet cafe. ^_^ It's in Tagalog so I'll provide a translation. This song was dedicated to all RO players but I think it's applicable here and every other online community out there. ^^ The perils of falling in love in the cyberworld...
------------
*Tagalog version*
Chiksilog by Kamikazee

Magdamag nag-aabang maglalaro kaya

*
Alas-dos nung linggo (sa Gotesco)
Napolo pa ako (at nagpabango)
Nanabik habang (hinahanap kita)
Tumigil ang mundo (Nang makita ka)

**
Chiksilog
Ako ay nahulog
Nalinlang, niloko, alam ko nang sikreto mo
Chiksilog

(repeat *)

Chiksilog
Ako ay nahulog
Nalinlang, niloko, alam ko nang sikreto mo
Chiksilog, Chiksilog, Chiksilog
----------
Now for the English Translation. :P Sorry this is the best I could do.

Chiksilog

Waiting all night to play
A young woman hiding under the alias "Maldita"
In our usual waiting place in the City of Prontera
Beside the store that sells magic and weapons

Once you gave your life to me
As we fought against all those new comers
We defeated them and you invited me to celebrate
All I ever wanted was to see you.

*
12 noon on a Sunday (at Gotesco)
I even wore a polo shirt (and wore cologne)
Excited as I waited (looking for you)
My world stopped (when I saw you)

**
Chiksilog
I fell
I was fooled, I was duped, I now know your secret.
Chiksilog
I fell
I was fooled, I was duped, I now know your secret.

There's no point in leveling up, my fantasy has been destroyed
All that gathered strength disappeared just like that
No wonder you were so good with a sword
"Maldita" is apparently a guy.

(repeat *)
Chiksilog
I fell
I was fooled, I was duped, I now know your secret.
Chiksilog, Chiksilog, Chiksilog....
---
Chiksilog = literally translates to Chicks/Girls with eggs/balls. Term for a guy who plays a girl avatar or pretends to be a girl in order to get favors.
Maldita = snobbish girl. Maldito means snobbish boy.
Prontera = a city in Ragnarok Online
Gotesco = an old mall located in Manila.

If you have any questions regarding translation I'll be moe than happy to try and explain. ^^

Chiksilog, literally means "Chick/girl with eggs" or a guy pretending to be a girl

It's a slang from another slang word for certain types of breakfast,
Tocilog = Tocino with egg
Tapsilog = Beef tapa with egg...
Chicksilog = chicken with egg..

"Egg" like the Spanish slang huevos (balls), I assume.

Ah, because you know if RL gender was the issue wouldn't that mean you were looking for the chick with eggs...

That ALWAYS confuses me. My first thought when I hear eggs is "female," not "testicles."

*lol* sorry! It's very cultural actually. :D we usually compare eggs to balls here, I suspect its because of an old term 'betlog' (slang/tagalog (?) for testicles) and 'itlog' (itlog is tagalog term for egg).

Haha! Too funny!

I won't delve into real life much, but I'll say this:

Once back in BBS days (late 1980's) I agreed to meet a number of the people who posted on a particular BBS, for lunch.

Sure enough, many of the people looked as one might expect.

Then a girl, all of perhaps 20 and with supermodel proportions and looks walked up and gave a familiar BBS name.

Our jaws collectively dropped to the floor. We thought she was a male the whole time. Ooooh how wonderfully wrong we were.
