Save your valuable time. Improve the forum environment. Use fewer on-line resources. And probably do marvelous things for your mood and blood pressure all by take a few seconds to slap the ignore button on a troll. And best of all it's legal.

Nothing is more painful to trolls than to be ignored. :D

Your heart is in the right place and I agree with you wholeheartedly. I'm just glad most of it stays in the Off Topic Forum, which I try hard to avoid.

Which I guess is the best solustion. The ones who enjoy the little verbal tete a tete's should be allowed to have their diversions. If you really feel passionate about something, it's hard not to respond to some of these things. But one of my favorite movies of all times is War Games in which a young Matthew Broderick teaches a computer that the best way to win some games is not to play. While it may or may not be easy to teach a computer this lesson, it is very hard to teach intelligent human beings the same lesson.

Good luck Surreal.

The most successful software company in the world does a piss-poor job on all these points. Particularly the first three. Why do you expect Linden Labs to do any better?
Yes, it's true, I have a blog now!

Absolutely. If you can't take it, use the ignore feature built into the forum.
