I am looking for some good spam recipies. (Yes, ask any Hawaiian... they do exist)

NO! I am not looking for Self Propagating Advertizing Media. Gawd knows that China already produces enough of that for the entire internet.

Are you speaking from experience, or did you just do a google search?

slice it thin and fry it in a skillet until it is crispy then melt velveeta over it and serve it on white bread. That's the way we at it when I was a kid, we called it "lunch".

Historically speaking Spam was the main reason the Cargo Cult started in the South Pacific during WW2. If you don't believe me do a search. :)

I have a friend from the Phillipines who marinates it in 7-UP and then bakes it in the oven like a little ham. I have to admit it is quite tasty. She says it is an ancient family recipe.

Recipes with 7-UP date back to my forefathers too!

Now THIS is what I am asking for! Did she have a name for it or was it just 7up-spam?

Well, since 7-UP (with different formuli) has been around since 1929...that is a possibility.

She called it Spam and 7-Up. :)

Somtimes ancient family recipes get new names despite their legendary origins I guess.

If you have Gmail, take a peek into your spam mail folder, and look at the top of the screen. I've gotten some decent recepies, and its all thanks to working at home and penis enlargement!

THANKS SPAMMERS!

Chop the spam up finely and place in a bowl, Add dill relish, chopped onions. A little mayonaise (actually Salad dressing like Kraft, we just always called it mayonaise) and mustard. Spread on bread. Name is Spam Salad. Mom fed it to us often when we were growing up. My husband's family also had it but used sweet relish in it.

Cut the spam into cubes, fry it up, scramble some eggs add the spam towards the end to heat it all evenly, put it on toasted white bread add a slice of cheese (whatever your preference is) makes a great breakfast sandwich

Spam was great living overseas when fresh meat was hard to purchase and sometimes a risk buying from the local markets.

Spam rules!

I fried up some spam last night and melted some "mexican" cheeses over it and then added some spicy pepperoni.... toasted the buns and added a small serving of mustard...all served it with a nice glass of sweet tea.

Yes, Spam is still big in Hawaii. In fact, I missed the annual Spam Jam a couple of weeks ago. :(

Thinking about lunch now.

I discovered a recipe I haven't tried yet. Make a white sauce (if you don't know how please get a cookbook) add cooked noodles, sautéed onions, fried cubed spam and diced green peppers and cook the whole mess in the oven for 20 minutes at 350.

Let me know how it is!
