I know this is silly, but what the hell is the "Z" for in "ZOMG"?
I've noticed all the kewl kids are typin' "ZOMG" now.
I didn't get an email, nor a txt message sayin' it was now appropriately hip to use the "Z", seems to have just appeared outta nowhere, kinda like emo-hair. ;p

What's up with typing 'cool' 'kewl'?
I noticed the cool kids starting that a while ago and never ever 'got it' - it actually takes longer to type!
Then again - I never worked out why 'leet speek' ever took off past being used to make account names to give unix administrators headaches in the early 90's.

zOMG, I had kinda figured out on my own. Mostly because I am guilty of accidently typing that all the time! But when I was a beta tester for TSO (a century ago ), a friend used to always type "lols" instead of plain "LOL" or "lol". Can anyone explain this one?
