Will someone please tell this damn thing that no matter how many times it tries, no matter how many different songs it suggests, I will never, ever, ever, enjoy listening to Ted Nugett?!?

This thing, although really neat, failed to recognize the first 17 artists I punched in.

I've had pretty good luck with it but it takes a long time to "train" it. I like to look at the "why are you playing this song for me" thing since it gives you a lot of insight into the parameters it's using. Unfortunately a lot of what makes me like particular music is too esoteric to quantify that way. I just wish you could skip more songs per session, or just let me type in a bunch of artists and have it spit out a list of recommendations. I tend to have better luck with Amazon's "users who bought this also bought..."

Pandora doesn't have ANY of my favorite bands... and ZERO classical music. Urgh.
The technology is cool though.

The idea is cool, but not practical. I skipped 10 songs because, well, I'm supposed to skip songs I don't like, right?

Well that's all you get -- 10 per day to skip. No more until 24 hours pass. "Due to licensing restrictions..." I don't know how 5 seconds of a song I know I don't like counts as a song I listened to, but until they loose that restriction, I won't be visiting again.

It has tried to get both me and a friend to listen to Billy Ray Cyrus. We both have been training it in different directions, yet we both ended up with Billy Ray. Made me wonder if they had cut a promo deal with him?

On the Synthpop & Darkwave trained station, they gave me ZZ Top and Tom Cochrane.

On the punk & misc subgenres station, they gave me Deathcab for Cutie.

I'd mention the neat stuff suggested, but that's no fun.

I enjoy Pandora a lot, mainly listen to it at work, but I guess being very tolerant about what I hear is helping. It shows up with stuff I never heard before and it's fine, I like to know what crap is out there in the world as well as good stuff. If I really don't like something...and my skip run out for that hour, I just switch stations. At home I can listen to MY music.

Yeah, 10 skips an hour sounds more like it, I listen all day and skip all day, hehe... Don't get me wrong, I love the site and have already found a lot of music I'm interested in through it... I just think it's tried to play these 2 Ted Nuget songs about 2 times a day for the last 3 days - Each time with me clicking the little "I don't like it", with me starting to feel like its trying to force Ted Nuget down my throat.

Good lord. But I'd like to hear a hybrid style of all of the aforementioned.

Apparently.... *If you "thumbs down" two different songs from a particular artist, it will ban them from the station. However, if at any time you gave this artist a "thumbs up", they will NOT be banned.*
