I don't think anyone has ever said it should be a permenant institution. Although, hypothecialy, if Bush = Wrong, then isn't Bush' endorsement of the idea of closing it a sign it should say up?  Or are you going to plead the old "even a stopped clock" defense?

I refuse to get involved in this topic because the second a Bush-Hater hears the "B" word (Bush) they start foaming at the mouth and become unresonable to the point where politely trying to explain something to them becomes impossible and I have much better things to do with my time than get in a screaming match with someone who isnt going to even consider my point of view. And if you think im exaggerating just wait...they will come sooner or later in this topic.

I think you can still not support Bush's policies but be glad to see the end of this situation. I found the situation very un-American i.e. being held indefinite without trial, yet the supporters of it were usually the ones shouting about fighting for American values worldwide. So maybe the two contradictions even out? |
