I have lived with the shame my entire life. After much therapy, I am finally ready to reveal the truth. The truth about my past.

When I was 16 years old I needed money. I came from a poor family. I did what I had to do to make ends meet.

My first job.

That reminds me coincidentally of one of my earliest most terrifying memories of my childhood - running happily up towards the stage, then getting close enough to hear the pneumatic/mechanical sounds and notice the rigid, jerky movement. I ran away from the stage crying, and told my parents that the real Showbiz pizza characters I knew and loved had been replaced by robots.

You aren't technically a furry unless you LIKED dressing up as a bear.

Along time ago, when Chuck E Cheese first appeared, the rat himself shook my hand when I beat a bonus level of Galaga. He had weird hands. Furry on the outside, but they felt like gloved hands. Could that have been a dude in a suit instead of a 6' mutant rat? Nah...

Children liked Billy Bob much better than Chuck E. Cheese.

It was horrible! Horrible I tell you!

I remember Monday Night Football when all the college guys would come to eat pizza and watch the game on the large screen television. They always assumed it was a waitress in the suit.

"Come sit on my lap Billy Bob!"

Some nights I still wake up in a cold sweat with those words ringing in my ears.

Wait, you're saying the real Chuck E was replaced by a dude in a suit? Or, perhaps secretly replaced with a ruthless, soulless assassin robot! But then, what happened to the real Chuck E Cheese?!?!?!!!!! :(
