Do you mean it's warm in Norway - or warm FOR Norway?
I'm in a lovely stone cellar in England, with a large aircon whiring away and I STILL can't get below 23c, nice low humidity though, and the other side of the cellar door is like a Jurrasic swamp - yuk. I may have to move a bed in here. _____________________

Oh, its hot yes, but I'm not complaining. We get a few weeks of heat in Norway every year, if we're lucky. I'm enjoying every minute of it. If I'm too hot, I just take a long cold shover, or a beer or two that has been in the freezer for an hour or so.
Tomorrow, I'm taking the kids down to the beach for a cold bath and some barbeque, with the cooling bag packed with ice-cold soda (for the kids) and beer for me. I hate -20c, and its only a couple of months until it is that cold again. I enjoy this while I can. _____________________

Uhm, isn't 23 degrees considered hot in Norway?
Pffftt....29 is nothing, they are predicting at least 38 all weekend where I am at. _____________________

It was approximately 37C where I live, all last weekend. (Upper Midwest, USA)
I hope that the rest of July and August doesn't have more of that in store for us. |

heh, I'm in Pennsylvania so I'm used to extremes in temperatures. Frickin' Hot in Summer & Freeze-your-ass-off Cold in Winter. I'd be happy with a nice 75 degrees F year-round.

Geez, yall got it lucky. Down here in Texas, are high hit 106 F (41.1C) and our latests weeks have stayed in the high 90s and touched the 100's quite a few times. Texas also likes to get pretty humid which only makes it twice as fun
.I wish we got more than one day of snow a year ![]() |

Freezing here. We have a storm passing through. It's cold and wet. But I think that would still qualify as hot for Norway. I know English will find this temperature warm.

Poor thili. I completely sympathize with your plight. I'm the unfortunate offspring of the Standard system so metric only clicks for me in a java window heat warning. If it is any consolation to you though. Was 119F here in my desert yesterday. I love my desert. Would love to see a fjord though. Tell ya what. Email me a fjord and I'll send you a box of scorpions.
Ciao. |

I'm in Denmark and it sure has been unbearable here too. Heat for weeks upon weeks, heardly any breaks. Temperatures just around 30 degrees C.
No aircondition of course... =.= Humid and absolutely no wind where I'm at. And of course there's 3 PCs packed in this small room I spend most of my time in. A server, my husband's PC and mine. It cost me a new fan and a new videocard after my PC overheated. Not funny. Today and yesterday has been lovely. It's warm outside, but not HOT. I can sit in my short sleved top without being afraid of having a heatstroke. I hope you have some better weather coming to you soon upthere in Norway aswell. |

I really hate it when people compare how impossibly hot some places are based on just the temp. I grew up in the midwest (Nebraska) with 110F summers and -10F winters. But the past two summers in London have been the most unbearable. I am actually shocked that this temp feels so bad.
Some cities just aren't built for this extreme heat. No one I know has AC here. Not even a breeze to go through the window. The huge concrete city is going to bounce the heat all over and the pollution (very high levels atm) is going to trap in that heat. Busses and tubes have no AC and hardly any ventilation. Actually I was on a bus yesterday that had the heating on! You also know its bad when they are passing out free water bottles when you walk into the underground station. Walking down the street this week actually reminds me on SL in a laggy area, its like soup. _____________________
