I don't suppose anyone knows where to get the fancy shaded version of the FBI seal in vector format like EPS or PDF?

images.google.com came back with about 2,000 of them. Most not usable, I understand, but there were some high resolution ones you could convert into what you need.

I got the logo directly from their website long ago. It was for a rather mean joke on a friend who had just bought a computer- a 486 DX2 no less, and just got onto that new thing called "the internet".

I showed him how to find free porn on newsgroups, along with the warning of some of the more 'illegal' stuff like kid porn.

So, about a week later, I sent him an email, HTML formated, with the logo, stating:

We here at the FBI have noticed an increased usage of your computer to visit the newsgroups: Alt.Binaries.Pelvis.Snappers and Alt.Binaries.StickItIn.ASmallFry. We will be arriving at your residence on Tuesday to confiscate your computer and all peripherals to investigate this further. Please do NOT attempt to delete anything. Your compliance is appreciated. Thank You.

If he scrolled down 1 more page, he would've seen "Ha Ha, just kidding!" Needless to say he never got that far! The next day I got a phone call from him telling me about this. And he deleted his entire hard drive.

After I stopped laughing so hard, I went to his house to show him a neat lil' DOS command called Undelete. After reconstructing the hard drive, I also saw what porn he did have. All of it LEGAL. Turns out he had NO clue on whether it was legal to look at porn or not, or what newsgroups he was even on, so he panicked & deleted all of it.

*Sigh* I miss the naivete of the early days :D
