I dunno.
Looks like disgusting chemical crud to me and certainly nothing that the school should be serving to kiddies.

If you are paying the school to provide a lunch what's wrong with making them provide a healthy or at least non-harmful lunch???

I would agree with a bill addressing general nutrition requirments for school lunches but anti-Fluff legislation is stupid.

Well if your talking an entire bill just to outlaw fluff, even though the stuff is disgusting, I agree. That's just a waste of time and money.

A two-tablespoon serving of fluff, which is made from corn syrup, sugar and egg whites, and has about 60 calories. One tablespoon of grape jelly has 50 calories.

A Fluffernutter on wheat, packs about 328 calories, about the same as a peanut butter and jelly.

Regardless, it's a pretty silly thing to legislate against. Kids have grown up on Peanut butter and "stuff" like jelly, and fluff and bananas for decades.

I guess it hasn't dawned on any of these people that subtracting school sports out of the education equation and reducing recess and playground time has some impact on a child’s weight. They don't want to address these issues though because they cost money and could impact test scores. Instead, they would prefer to tell people how to live and what to eat, than to put their money where their mouth is... so to speak. ;)

While I think going after fluff itself might be a little too specific, I don't think its crazy in any way to want school lunches to be healthy. I want school lunches to be healthy, and I want more physical education brought back to school. A kid who just ate a healthy lunch and had their daily 30 minutes of running around will learn better than the fat kid falling a sleep in his chair that gets out of breath from walking off the school bus and is feeling down after crashing from a sugar high.

I only use it in recipe's, like the holiday fudge recipe on the back of the jar (which is wonderful)
