to me it looks like the white house is distancing themselves from him and hes pissed about it

i see this as a threat from Brown more than anything

Brown expected Bush to cover his ass, but Bushs ass needs all the coverage it can get right now and defending Brown would be about as smart as defending Ken Lay (before his pardon on 1/19/2009 that is)

Brown has already been made a patsy and it probably seriously affected his life, so now he is turning the screws on Bush to avoid being thrown under the bus again.

For Bush supporters, nothing he will say will matter - If he condems the president, he's lying. If he doesn't, he's telling the truth, revealing what a bunch of hyperactive idiots the liberals are.

For Bush detractors, nothing he will say will matter - If he condems the president, he's telling the truth, confirming what they "knew" all along. If he doesn't, he's lying or he's been "got to".

The fact is, at the moment, politics have become a media circus. Truth doesn't matter. Facts don't matter. Story matters. Until the media gets a new obsession, I refuse to continue to do their work for them, unpayed, by yammering on about something I know jack-all about. And no matter how "informed" you think you are, you know jack-all about it... You know what one brach or another of the media has told you, regardless of your political affiliation.

Maybe in 10 or 20 years, the media will have something new to focus on, like... I dunno, the alien delegation from Proxima Centauri and we can get back to serious discussions of politics.
