Yanni can't CHILL?

So Yanni gets arrested for beating up his girlfriend. You'd think for a new age pure moods easy listening artist he'd have enough calm music around to keep his temper under control.

This is a lesson to any guy trying to find the right kind of mood music to swoon a lady. It is not Yanni. It doesn't even work for him.

I was a big Yanni fan... I have most of his CDs except for the newer ones, which I didn't care too much for because it sounded too much like he was trying to be a derivative copycat of Yanni instead of the man himelf. Sigh.

His beard looks so old in that picture but his hair looks so radiant.

Here here. I love Reflections of Passion and Keys to Imagination. I still have a few more favorites but these two titles are the ones that pop up in my head. Before Enya I had Yanni

I love his music and still do although I've stopped buying his newer albums due to lack of cash and that his music has turned bleah.

Still it's sad to see him get arrested. ;_; And why does he look like a bum? Where did his long lustrous hair that could rival a hair model go? And his signature moustache?

On a sad note, I did notice at the bottom of the article a link that Dana Reeve (wife of Christopher Reeve) has died of lung cancer.

if I played yanni for a chick to get her in the mood she would:

1) fall asleep
2) Remember she left her iron on
3) laugh at me PRIOR to me removing my pants

Sadly - I think the general picture is that Yanni is 51 now and the girlfriend, Silvia Barthes, is 33.

That sort of says a lot about what might be the spark in the firecracker.

Nevertheless, I am highly disappointed in Yanni since there is never, ever a reason for spousal abuse in my book regardless of how many buttons get pushed. Yes - an irate GF can make more of the issue than it is, but the article did say she had a split lip and that he threw her on the bed and jumped up and down on her.

Ugly. Not the way I want to think of him when I listen to his music.

Yanni - next time, just walk away.
