I am setting up a new SL business called SLW(Second Life Wrestling). The aim is to have WWE style events all over SL. The problem is that i need a way to script the fights to have a winner and a loser and a way for people to fight and have a variety of moves. So if anyone is intrested in helping out with this project please reply or IM me in Second Life.

The idea for the script is to have two 100% that go down during the fight and at a certain percent say 20 - 30% be able to pin.

I attended a mud wrestling event in SL once. It wasn't an actual contest, though, it was just RP. Fun RP though. *giggles*

Well, I'm thinking that each wrestler would have some sort of HUD attachment, which would do several things...

1. let them try moves on people in front of them, triggering an animation in the wearer
2. receive moves tried by other people, also triggering an animation
3. keep some sort of track of how many times they've been hit, so that if they get hit lots of times in a short period, say, they start to stagger about or have to stand in one spot, and if they get hit too many times they fall over and lose.

Say wrestler A triggers the "hit with folding chair" move. The attachment starts the "swing folding chair" animation and checks to see if another wrestler is within range in front. Wrestler B is in range, so their attachment starts the "get hit by folding chair" animation and increments the damage counter. Maybe that means they should also be stunned, so the attachment starts pushing them back to the same spot if they try to move anywhere for a bit, or takes over their controls to stop them walking, or however you want to do it.

You could tweak it so that some wrestlers were really strong or tough and others were really wimpy, dealing and taking more or less damage.

You'd want a whole selection of gestures set up as well.

If you're serious about paying for the scripting to be developed, post at sldevelopers.com in the Business Opportunities forum
