Judicial history was made today when the intelligent designer of the universe intervened in the affairs of mortals by overturning a recent ruling regarding the teaching of intelligent design in Pennsylvania- schools. Additionally, the intelligent designer of the universe also caused the Federal District Judge responsible for the decision to not only vanish from the face of the earth but also to have never existed in the first place.

I seriously think people are missing a possibility. Unintelligent Design. Seriously, the universe was created, but the creator was an idiot. Now that it's said, isn't it painfully obvious?

If the creator is an idiot, what would that say about the creation (people)?

Now that it's said, isn't it painfully obvious? The stunning logic of this overwhelms me. Clearly you are in deep touch with the truths of this universe! Well, one thing that always surprises me (altho it shouldn't by now) is how humans look at animals, and then anthromorphize them a lot, and I don't just mean in a furry way. Too often, homo sapiens are putting "human values" or specific "cultural values" on animals and expecting them to bear some societal burden, whereas they might be better served by levity and instinct. A related, very amusing sideline is that, for all the talk about "artificial intelligence", it turns out those types of constructs have often been portrayed as scary and oppressive (i.e. Terminator, HAL 9000, AM in "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" . Meanwhile, what can be more loveable is "artificial stupidity" in the form of relatively helpless creatures that want a good snuggle and are looking for their next meal. I'm not calling the dogs in Nintendogs stupid by any stretch, however.

Hah, Torley I've actually seen a few authors use the term Artificial Stupids in scifi. The one I can remember at the moment is Fallen Dragon by Peter F Hamilton

Well, in my defence, it's only fair. My cat catamorphises me, and weighs my actions as if I had feline values. No, really, I'm *not* going to eat her catfood first. Ok, well I guess I do, but I thought it was *my* dinner. Nothing to do with social order at all. Why won't she see it that way...

Now that it's said, isn't it painfully obvious? Whoa! I like that idea!! I think we should all head to the courts, waste tax payer money & fight to have this read as a statement in a Science class!!! For evidence we'll show stuff like episodes of Jerry Springer, tubes of chapstick with its warning 'keep out of eyes', hair dryer warning labels 'do not use in shower or while sleeping', etc, etc.
