It's not safe. Even a positive poll will make those who fare poorly feel bad. And those who don't even make the poll might be crushed. There are a lot of sensitive people in the forums.

It prevents nothing. Like you did, people say things like "with the intials..." or find some other way of making clear who is being discussed. Either a post is fair (even if not positive, but fair) or it is an attack. Whether the actual name is used or not is irrelevant. _____________________
