Nearly 1400 people are missing after an Egyptian Ferry sank, so fast it didnt even issue an SOS. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4676916.stm This comes in the same week as a tanker carrying 10,000 tons of phosphoric acid sank in the English Channel (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-2018045,00.html ), and a tanker carrying 100,000 barrels of oil was apparently hit by a fast moving ice flow in Alaska and began leaking its load. http://news.independent.co.uk/world/americas/article342943.ece Like I said, not a good week for ships.
