I read about this on Gizmodo so I got an account and tried it out. It's still in Alpha, but it works well-what there is of it. Currently, it has chat, web browser, and a rich text editor. It's even got a Mac OS emulator for all you Mac fans.

Sounds more like an enviornment (like a shell session) than an OS. What access does it have to your system hardware?

It has limited/no acess to you hardware. It is done mainly with javascript as far as I can tell.
This would prevent any sort of acess. It is halfway between a shell and a aplication. There is a representation of the state of the OS application on the server, but the server dosent generate any of the visuals .. your computer generates the visuals. A real shell everything would be generated on the server side and sent to the client. Impressive javascript though. _____________________

Yes, it's not really an OS, but it does have some nice features. It would be great if they integrated it with meebo (meebo.com).
