Well, should I? It's only about $1.50, or roughly L$500...

No. Why bother when there's a million websites with news out there?

The two questions I always ask myself when thinking of buying a Sunday paper are:
1. does it come with a free DVD of something I might want to watch? (papers here in the UK have been doing this recently, apparently realising that nobody can be bothered lugging home ten pounds of adverts and vapid columnists); 2. do I have any small-to-medium-sized animals I need to beat to death? They're quite good for that. |

Comics!
And on a related note... why is it that the comics pages all have ads for Lasic surgery attached to them? Do they know something we don't about all that small print? _____________________

Which Sunday paper here? Are we talking like the New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe kind of paper, or the Redneck Daily? If I lived outside a major city, I'd probably try to get a good national paper delivered on Sundays and a local paper delivered during the week.

Most of the Sunday paper is put together on Friday anyway, so the nice reporter types can have the weekend off.

Reminded of Steve Martin in Roxanne (man that guy knew physical comedy) walking up to a newspaper vendor, dropping in a coin, getting the paper, looking at the front page, screaming, putting in another coin and putting the paper back in.
Newspapers are soooo 20th century. ![]() |

The only cool thing about newspapers is if it contains history-making news and you discover you kept it all those years. My grandmother kepts certain papers- Kennedy assassination, Vietnam, Watergate, WWII, etc. THOSE definitely made it worth having the paper. Soon our children will have to remember these things by looking it up on Wikipedia which just doesnt have the same impact. |

I can't believe I took valuable time from my stringent porn viewing schedule to read this topic.
