Can we go home now? And that statement right there sums up the authors ignorance. The answer to that question is no. I love war protesters calling to bring our boys home now because there has "Been enough bloodshed". Political science and history 101 bitches, if we leave, it will get worse not better. So ok we messed up we went over, tore a country to shreds, now they want us to just abandon it halfway through the rebuild stage? Guess morals go right out the window when you realize that hard work has to be done. Aren't these the same folks who were screaming "IF WE DO IT WE HAVE TO HELP THEM REBUILD!!!111". Oh right, after watching Jon Kerry flip flop on goddamn everything we now know that SOME people can't make up their damn minds. You know what? I hate both parties, but at least one of them knows their heads are up their asses and they keep it there. |

I think most people have realised that prolonging the American occupation of Iraq is hurting, not helping.

Seriously. Money doesn't grow on trees. _____________________

I hate both parties, but at least one of them knows their heads are up their asses and they keep it there. When did we get to the "rebuild" stage? It looks more like the "descent into civil war" stage to me. Messed up? You call 30,000 plus civilian deaths "messed up"? You've got the nerve to question other people's morality and you sum up the unnecessary deaths of over 30,000 people as "we messed up." Flip-flopping? You mean like Bush being opposed to "nation building" when running for President in 2000, but telling us we have to stay in Iraq to do just that in 2006? Or how about WMD? First it was "Iraq's got 'em." Then it was, "We know where they are." Then it was, "We can't find 'em, but we know where they are." And then, "We can't find 'em 'cause he hid 'em so good." Then, "We found 'em!" Then, "We didn't find 'em, but we found proof they exist." And finally, "Oops, my bad, there weren't any. Tens of thousands dead over nothing. Sorry if my morality can't get past that. |

So ok we messed up we went over, tore a country to shreds, now they want us to just abandon it halfway through the rebuild stage? So far, only the president has seen any real evidence of significant rebuilding actually being done, and his visions are suspect to say the least. |
