Gunned down in cold blood? Come on, Mulch. I think this story was quite amusing, but the amount of hyperbole is getting completely absurd. The media is being almost as bad. I've cringed when I've heard reporters say things like "Did the Whitehouse know that Cheney was the shooter?" as if he was a sniper in a bell tower or something.

I've cringed when I've heard reporters say things like "Did the Whitehouse know that Cheney was the shooter?" as if he was a sniper in a bell tower or something. well, the nations security has gone back to yellow after a week of orange alert... we had no idea if Cheney was on a rampage and would be shooting other folks just like a dog, as the Iraq war proves, once they taste blood... unless the other rumor is true...  just cosider this myself and the rest of the civilised world telling Cheney to "Go Fuck Yourself" _____________________

You're engaging in pre 2-11 thinking again. Before the tragic events of 2-11, Americans would be justified in their outrage that their VP could shoot a man in the face and get away with it, but now after the horrific events of 2-11, we have to accept that our leaders clearly know what they are doing and if Cheney felt that blasting an elderly man in the face with a shotgun was warranted we have to believe him. _____________________
