I think people who worship oddly shaped food and concrete stains are funny :D

Bun-napping. How sinister.
It's a papal-pastry conspiracy, reaching the very heights of the Vatican!

I think it was an intelligently designed nun bun, and thus no miracle.

Is that a paradox?

You know .... it doesn't really look like Mother Teresa to me. It looks like an oddly shaped mushroom or a snail. *shrugs*

Looks kinda like those crafts made with nylons and stuffing to me - kinda looks like Mother Teresa in a caricature-ish sort of way.

"To preserve it and the image it bore, the bun was coated with shellac."

This world is a beautiful thing.

You know, I think one of the saddest things is when like, someone steals a work of art, and then recycles it into something completely ordinary. Like taking big metal sculptures and then turning them into garbage cans after selling the scrap metal, altho some postmodernists may consider that to be a type of art all in itself.

I also noticed this quote in the story:

From: someone
"They went right for the bun," he said. "What the heck they are going to do with it, I can't imagine. It's sure not something anyone would eat. I hope they do eat it. It will teach them a lesson."

But what kind of lesson would that be? Is the bun poisoned or something?

I don't get it.

Not poisoned, but in the article they mentioned it's nearly 10 years old and coated in shellac. I would assume that shellac can't be good to digest and would probably have some nasty side effects - hence the guy saying he hoped the thief ate it and got what he deserved (read: badly upset stomach, or worse).

That is my ip and my isp. I have no idea what a nun bun is and haven't thought about Pete Fats in months. A week or so ago I owned land sort of near some of his that he never used that I recall. Otherwise I don't know him other than seeing in the forums how he royally screwed up with programming self replicating objects. I thought that was amusing. Pete, I don't know where you got my ip address from or why you decided I stole your nun bun. It sure put me in a bad mood right now seeing this BS I have nothing to do with.

It's harmless (and so is Pete!) :) The website that graphic is pulled from (like all webservers) can see your IP, OS and browser info. It just serves it up to you as part of the image. Everyone sees their own IP and other info.

Ditto. Which particular *part* of Mother Teresa is this mis-shapen cinnamon roll supposed to resemble?

I have to say in retrospect, that is amusing, but geez, people are likely to take it the wrong way (like me). Best wishes Pete.

This looks like the work of Homer Simpson. He did eat an entire collection of Presidential potato chips, right? Shellac covered buns shouldn't be much a stretch for him. :D

O thanxies... I'm used to eating old food. But the shellac part, I certainly understand!
