Considering how vague and undefined their proposals are, going by that article, I wouldn't be surprised if it was just election year pandering to be forgotten once the ballot places close in November. While I wouldn't expect them to go into fine detail on every last cent of their package (for lack of a better term), vague hand-waving without even a hint of specifics is pretty much just giving pollsters blowjobs, for all practical purposes. :p

My impressions of Dems has never been that they're anti-war, but rather anti-unnecessary war. There are a lot of left-liberals that would have us believe the Dem party is anti-war in any circumstance, but I honestly don't think so.

Sometimes war is neccessary, and most Dems in any real political position do realize that.

If it's the truth, those footnotes on their platform do look really good. I'm especially impressed by this, if they mean it:

It's probably about time the "ruling party" gets shaken up a bit anyway, they really have been screwing up too often for comfort lately and they seem a little too comfortable. I think they're going to lose the next election or two badly... and other than on maybe a few certain issues, I don't really care.

I was addressing the initial post, which didn't mention him. If you're thinking I'm a Bush supporter because I have an issue with the party issuing platform mentioned in the link posted by Lektor, I'm not.
