The other night we were celebrating my girl friends birthday. Everyone handed out their gifts and cards, did the cake thing and then my Grand father picked up one of the cards and proceeded to read it. The card was a humorous card and my grandpa read it and laughed. Sure as shit ten minuets later he picked up the same card again read it and laughed hysterically. I guess in need to mention that my grand father has Alzheimer’s. So this gave me a great idea. I am thinking of coming up with a couple good jokes, then proceed to do a tour across America at retirement homes. I will do an hour long show with every couple of minuets just redoing my few bits. This will ensure me of constant laughs and will ensure me of fame. Dam never mind they won't remember my name. Well back to the drawing board

If they can't remember that you just told them the same jokes 10 minutes before, how are you going to become famous if they can't remember you were there telling them the same jokes? Not to crush your wonderful idea, but they probably won't remember your name.

Y'know, funny you mention that. On Monday I got home from work and checked my mail, and had a card from my Grandpa reading "Merry Christmas" and with a small check in it. The next day I get home from work, deja vu, another card, another check. One check was dated the 14th, the other the 15th - the second one was also the very next number in the sequence of checks. I called him last night and felt bad having to tell him, "Hey, you sent me two checks, so when you see that the second one hasn't cleared you'll know why"...
Meanwhile, I'm trying to get grandpa a job in the payroll/accounting dept where I work... ![]() _____________________

Hey, I just realised that they won't remember having paid you, also! Just show up every 1/2 hour and repeat the same routine. Put down that drawing board, I do believe you've just discovered the best money-making method EVER!
Actually, while this will ensure you constant income and laughs, possibly even fame... wait, no , nevermind they won't remember your name. Back to the drawing board. _____________________
