I got mine from something I did in the mid-90s. Ah well, time will tell.
You could always go to Google Images and then snag piccies to put in an image editor to fine-tune a bit, and then make them all avatar-goodey bitesize. _____________________

I would like a forum avatar of my SL head. But I haven't been able to ever get it down to whatever pixels or whatever is required, and I guess I just don't know how to.

But I haven't been able to ever get it down to whatever pixels or whatever is required, and I guess I just don't know how to. coco That's not too hard to do, Coco, send me a pic to resize via private message or in-world (with full perms so I can save it to disk) and I'd be happy to. However, if you'd like to do it yourself, I suggest using the highly handy and easy to use IrfanView program, which is (a) free and (b) again, easy to use. _____________________

I made my own as well. Also, I have animated a few forum avatars for others using AS3 . I can also shrink down forum avatars to 50x50, if anyone needs that done. Keep in mind that doing this can change the image alot. So, the smaller it is to begin with the better the result is after shrinking it.

I will send you a pic inworld, Aliasi! Thanks! I believe I tried that Irfanview thing, downloaded it, but didn't understand it. coco Iview is an image-view program with some basic manipulation tools. To turn an SL screenshot into an avatar, you'd first select the area (which should be square) by clicking and dragging- if it doesn't go this at first, you'd hit "F" to switch IView from the "autoscale" mode which automatically scales the picture to fit on your screen. After doing that, you'd select edit > crop (or just Ctrl-Y) to crop the picture down to just your selection, and use image > resize (or ctrl-R) to shrink it to 50 x 50. Sometimes, an image > sharpen after doing this can make it look nicer. However, I went ahead and made a first-attempt using your profile pic, if you'd prefer another shot, well, like you said just send it. _____________________

I did an internet search for pictures of Lizzie Borden and this was the best one that I could find. I change mine, depending on my mood, I will probably come up with something a little less violent for the new year, maybe. I had a pretty bad year last year which got progressively worse as it drew toward the end.
Now I need a new forum AV for 2006, a kinder gentler Rose. . _____________________
