Um, yeah, a guy who admits he can't prove his accusations, posting on a site whose title graphic is full of shit ("without partisanship" my ass... they practically give oral sex to Democrats, while merrily proclaiming Republicans to be nothing but dirtbags and other general scum), citing anonymous sources without, baring one exception, even a hint of what position they may hold (which may well be "janitor" for all we know). That's sure going to convince me.

well, that sure is one way to put it!!;)

another way is to say - capitalhillblue has been roundly acknowledged as 'disinformational' (even by oral-sex luvin' democrats;). wouldn't bother sourcing anything from them.:)

I don't know whether the Chicago Trib staff gives as many sloppy, slutty blowjobs to democrats as CHB does, but the Trib article does quote more actual sources, and I find their article no less alarming.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-060518nsa,1,2709782.story?coll=chi-news-hed

Some quotes:

"Hayden said, he was convinced the NSA could go further. Then-Atty. Gen. John Ashcroft provided the NSA with a memo giving a basis for that eavesdropping authority. Hayden said he did not read the memo, but on Oct. 6, 2001, the NSA launched what the Bush administration has called a terrorist surveillance program."

So, Hayden didn't want to spy on all Americans, but Ashcroft wrote a memo, which Hayden never read, that convinced Hayden and the NSA that illegal spying was a-ok."

"In adopting the program, the administration and NSA avoided the usual method of obtaining a warrant for such wiretaps from a special court formed under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act."

They BROKE THE LAW. A law which was SPECIFICALLY ESTABLISHED to prevent this kind of abuse.

"Committee Chairman Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) seemed defensive that he and - not the entire committee- had been told early on about the surveillance."

Well, Roberts was told. So, that's ok.

"Hayden also said he would work as CIA director to take the politics out of intelligence analysis and briefings. 'True accountability is not served by inaccurate, harmful or illegal public disclosures,' he said. 'I will draw a clear line between what we owe the American public by way of openness and what must remain secret in order for us to continue to do our job.' "

I wonder how true accountability IS served? Apparently by illegal public coverups.

BUSTED!

Zalandria's HASH FUDGE
(which anyone could whip up on a rainy day)

Take 1 teaspoon black peppercorns, 1 whole nutmeg, 4 average sticks of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon coriander. These should all be pulverised in a mortar. About a handful each of stoned dates, dried figs, shelled almonds and peanuts: chop these and mix them together. A bunch of canibus sativa can be pulverised. This along with the spices should be dusted over the mixed fruit and nuts, kneaded together. About a cup of sugar dissolved in a big pat of butter. Rolled into a cake and cut into balls about the size of a walnut, it should be eaten with care. Even Democrats should find two pieces to be quite sufficient.

Any cares you may have harbored about the death of Democracy will simply melt away!

hehe!!:) yeah, there y'go!! even better... gee, the trib's just as conservative as ever lately, huh?:)

that was not to chastise you for chb usage, lol:) but yeah, they're really half-and-half. if you find something interesting there, def. seek another source for it, 'cuz half the time, it's somewhat bs-ical.;)

that's what's useful about dailykos and americablog - places that allow reader commentary. that allows everyone to pitch in their 'b.s. detectors'.:)
