OK, here's a thread we can add to until the Lord Philip sends Torley back and SLarmageddon commences. (wait, did Torley go somewhere? nvm...) Are you a musician? What instrument(s) do you play? Do you sing? Write? Record? What style(s)? Pictures of guitars and stuff would be sweet too. I'll kick things off: I play guitar and keyboards, and get along OK on bass and drums. I sing, write, and sporadically record in my home studio. There's a tune I recorded in 2003, called " I'd Die 4 U" that made it to #17 on soundclick.com's pop/rock charts. You can find it here. My stuff is basically pop/rock, and I'd say my biggest influences are probably the Beatles (particularly Lennon), Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, and anything that has a catchy hook that you can't get out of your head. I am playing a borrowed guitar right now, for reasons I won't go into here, but I am getting ready to pick up a sweet looking natural finish copy of a Gibson ES-335, as follows: In-world, I have a sunburst Fender Strat and a tobaccoburst 335. I really want to get into performing live in SL one of these days. As far as keyboards, I have an Alesis QS7. Who's next? P2

I'm mainly a Bass player, I sing and write too. I also play guitar and keys. I use a drum machine when I record. I've recorded professionally with "Cherry Street" and " The Fruitflies" I've done some recordings in my home studio, unfortunately the quality isn't all that great but you can hear them here: http://www.myspace.com/spinnersmentaldebris I was pretty successful in the 80's and 90's, opened for a few major acts when I lived in hollywierd. Since then I just enjoy playing and having fun without the pressure of trying to be a "rock star". Music is so much more fun when band members aren't fighting lol I own an Ibanez GS400, a '78 Fender Jazz, Kramer neck thru body 5-string, a Fender strat, An Ibanez guitar with Floyd Rose, a cheap Yamaha keybord and a Korg DW800 keybord that I use for the wierd sounds also a Yamaha drum machine. I also have an 80 can light show hanging in the garage that I should prolly sell, but sentimental. Oh well, still clinging to the past. Influences: Dennis Dunaway, Geddy Lee, Greg Lake, Chris Squire Edit:I'm unable to post attachments so sorry, no pics

I play violin and I'm trying to learn fiddle. Yeah, it's the same instrument, but it's like trying to learn a new language. I started playing in fourth grade and was >-< this close to going into violin performance. But I knew I couldn't dedicate myself to six hours of practice a day. I always wonder, though, if I had, how would my life be different?

I play percussion, and I sing (though many would said that I do neither very well).

I play several things, used to primarily call myself a bass player, but that was long ago. These days I do mostly guitar and enough bass and keys to get a part recorded. I perform as often as I can in-world and have been actively recording again for a couple years. In world I have a couple strats, a middling attempt at a tele, a "dylan", a p-bass and a couple of other instruments. Usually when I do a show though, I just pick one and set it running. I've usually got my hands full with getting the show performed. IRL I have: A Tele, a Washburn Acoustic, 3 basses (short-scale - home-made, Ibanez Ric 4001 copy and a G&L L2000 fretless). My artist page is here. It has most of my stuff.

I'm a former "frustrated lead electric guitarist" of about 17 years of playing. These days I play 2003 Fender American Jazz bass and swear by my SansAmp/SWR rig. I love to play stuff by Geddy Lee, Jaco Pastorious, Victor Wooten, and Marcus Miller.
Unfortunately I have not had the time recently to sit down and record some material. I'll try to post a link soon!
