What's in your DVD Player?

Thought I'd start a thread to discuss and reccomend movies and shows that we're currently playing in our DVD players.

Mine is currently spinning Veronica Mars: The Complete First Season. I didn't get the chance to watch this show when it aired on UPN (maybe because I have an allergy to UPN, I dunno), but I heard so much good stuff about it I had to get a copy to see it for myself.

I'm a sucker for serial character-based stories. Usually they have some element of the fantastic about it (Firefly, Buffy, Smallville, Alias, Lost et al), but what I enjoy most in such shows are the interesting characters and how they interact with one another. Oh, and snappy writing. :) Veronica Mars has all of this without need oof vampires, superspies, or mysterious islands. It's a Film Noir in a SoCal town, where the Haves battle the Have Nots.

Our heroine, Veronica, is shunted as an outcast when her best friend is murdered, and her Sheriff dad accuses the father...the richest and most powerful man in town. Her father loses his job and turns to being a private eye while Veronica suddenly becomes an outcast. She's determined to find out who killed her friend...not to mention solving a number of mysteries along the way.

Kristen Bell is a wonderfully fun actress, and she made me care for Veronica. Other great actors include Enrico Colantoni as her father Keith, Francis Capra as Weevil Navarro, the sexy bald biker boy, and Jason Dohring as Logan Echolls, a movie star's offspring, Veronica's former friend now rival, and professional jackass. :)

Anyways, that's what's in my DVD player. What's in yours?

Lets see I watched "Batman Begins" the other day, which I think is the best Batman movie there ever has been. Today I'm getting "Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith"
