Ok, let's work this out everyone.

83 acres for a town.

Let's assume we give each resident 2 acres and a mule (you know, to one up LL's claim

)

We'd also need some stores and such too.... let's set aside at least 30 acres for commercial things.

and another acre total for roads and such....

That would leave room for 26 residents each with their own 2 acre plot of land.

Get 26 people in on this and everyone can afford the starting bid for around $67,000 each.

Don't know how land prices are, and don't know much about anything real-estate involved, and don't know the location....

...but hell, if we actually had enough people for it, and we could co-op our broadband, I'd say why not?

If you took the whole 83 acres and chopped it up into 512 m2 lots you would have more than 650 lots (assuming I did my math right....).
