I look at the first picture and wondered what you were up to, then I scrolled down an saw more pictures. I was a little confused at first. Have you updated your video drivers? What about when you click to not allow it to play?

If you havent guessed this is Mac OS X for Intel X86. Right now I am using the latest Rosetta build avalible to developers (the one with early Altivac support). So both the emulation and drivers are the latest outside of Apple's labs. I posted this in off topic since it isnt at all supported by the lindons.
Anyways this is an improvement over the last build of OS X for Intel because the last one would say it cant run because it requires a G4 or higher (aka Altivac).
The problem is not audio related. It directly has to do with the Alpha quality Altivac additions to Rosetta and the beta quality ATI drivers. If you notice on the last picture it is actualy trying to set up the card to display the OpenGL world. Right now its hit or miss if PowerPC applications can actualy use OpenGL.
Anyways just thought people would like to know how far we are from playing Second Life on an Intel mac.

It's been well over 10 years since I used Macs...so I've forgotten what the drivers are called for a Mac. Anyway it does look like what nimrod was suggesting, that you need to check your "drivers" out and if it's all current or not. Try the video out first like nimrod said. Ugh, I'm wracking my head trying to remember the Mac name for drivers now. LOL Good Luck with it.

As far as im aware secondlife will require some development work to run on x86 processors, they do have the development machine at lindens they rather niceley named it "intellitosh"

From: Deirdre Sapeur Anyways just thought people would like to know how far we are from playing Second Life on an Intel mac. Well, isn't that something! I never thought of trying to play SL using Rosetta. I hope that's not indicative of the performance of other emulated games. If they release a new Powerbook in January at the Expo (I already have my pass), I'll be replacing my old 1 GHz G4 17" Powerbook. ~Ulrika~

Rosetta emulated stuff is about half speed of that which runs native X86. Also some OpenGL games DO work fine under rosetta (ie UT 2k4). Currently its mostly a drivers/rosetta talking problem. The graphics drivers dont support on the fly changing of video modes for anything other then Intel GMA 9XX graphics as an example. Then again I dont think Apple wants us opening these things and droping random PC videocards into them (mine is a Radeon X800).
