On the upper Athabasca glacier, near the breaks of the Columbia ice field in northwestern Alberta, it was 43*F five inches above the ice, and 81*F five feet above the ice. T-shirt, boot-and-crampon weather.
We left cokes, cranberry juice bottles, and Gatorade tied into netting and suspended in meltwater sluices on the way up the glacier. They were perfect on the way down. |

Got clouds yesterday evening that sealed in the heat and gave us humidity til around 6 tonight! Finally the cool evening breeze is back!

My frind in the US said it was 108 degrees in california, but it wasnt nearly that hot in london nearly 120 today... with enough humidity to produce an immense lightning show over the desert sky this is SOOO not fun i have central air.. but it only gets down to upper 80s in this heat during the scorching sun of the heat of day the low outside at night is mid 90s these days  maybe it is just us guys who roadrunners!_____________________
