Ugh, I always hated superhero propaganda. I guess this is DC's response to the fact that Captain America is back. At least Marvel always had the good sense to make up fictitious badguys to personify "enemy" phlosiopies. DC could at at least come up with their own version of the Red Skull, rather than pit an imaginary hero against a real person.

Dubya had the same idea. He can be seen some nights shining a "Batsignal" flashlight up into the sky.

I know it's "old fuddy-duddy" of me, but I can't say I'd have minded Batsy staying out of RL issues, much like the superheroes of WW2-era comics weren't taking on actual Nazis and such, to keep from belittling the efforts of real people, specifically the troops in the relevant part of the world who are doing the real job every day.

surely an odd idea

granted it's weird having comic book heroes go after RL "bad guys", but i'd be willing to give the story a chance only if it's handled by a writer from a very short list.
fortunately, Frank Miller happens to be on that list. i might actually check it out.. and i haven't bought any comics in a rather long time. (not including the CoH comic that comes with the game subscription.) Edit: Noh, you make an excellent point. but i think from the comic book writer's point of view, it's not so much belittling the RL actions to combat Osama, but rather an outlet of the anger and frustration that people have towards this situation _____________________

shhhh!!! sorry, i scan it daily.. usually multiple times. sometimes i'll even post on these forums with links to stories from it! although, sometimes it's fun to follow a link, then find another story extended from that link that's interesting to link to.. provides a bit of mystery that way. ![]() _____________________
