If a person wanted to stop the United State's military actions in Iraq, what would the most effective way for them to go about it?
Are there websites a person could post at where your post might reduce the U.S. military aggression?

Are there websites a person could post at where your post might reduce the U.S. military aggression? If you are wondering why people seem to engage in pointless political discussions here, I'd say that, given the tiny number of people who read this forum, a person who sincerely wanted to effect a change in military policy would have to be crazy or stupid or both to choose this as the venue for their writings, or maybe they are just afraid to take their efforts to a place where they would have to argue against the best opponents of their views one could find on the internet. It would probably be more effective to work with other people who already share one's views, not necessarily in public view in attention getting debate, but on more mundane things such as registering voters for the party you think would support your views, arranging protest demonstrations, distributing printed matter for the large percent of the population who does not pay much attention to the internet, and other unglamorous activities. Some people will talk politics here for fun, of course, but other's you really have to question the sincerity and honorableness of their motives. They don't really care about the issues they bring up, they just pick what they think will cause the most trouble.

Usenet certainly has forums for the discussion of political and social matters, but I don't know that anyone with the power to change things as a result of being persuaded by argument reads Usenet.
One could post websites with the intent of changing the views of others.
Are there any examples of of websites that have made a difference in the course of political affair?
