The SL community used to be creative, friendly and fun. What happened to the ubuntu spirit that used to permeate this place? Is this what Philip wanted?

The SL community used to be creative, friendly and fun. What happened to the ubuntu spirit that used to permeate this place? Is this what Philip wanted? I like to think of it as an ocean. The water, SL, is fairly boring. But all of the organisms growing in it, that's what makes SL exciting. Each fish, group, has it's own plan and dream for SL. Most want to use it to play CEO of a company, play dress up, or family. All of these fish look plain and the same on the surface. I'm sure they each have their own idiosyncrasies. But it's the three-eyed fish, the freaks that attract us most. I would much rather see a pearl fish than a gold fish, it doesn't mean I won't have to wade through a sea of gold fish to find my pearl fish. I guess what I'm saying is, don't drift in the ocean, grab a pole and catch a fish. We are still here after this long Darwin, don't give up yet. *Disclaimer* I'm almost sleeping. _____________________

When SL became a place people came entirely for the purpose of making money instead of to have fun and maybe make money as a side perk.
Though the creative community is still there Darwin, it's just a minority now. |
