A friend sent me this picture - I admit it's kind of blurry, but if you squint and ignore the blue part you can sort of make out what might be an electron microscope. Do you believe that they really exist? |

In order to believe in the electron microscope I'd have to believe in electrons and that matter is composed of atoms. That's silly. Everyone knows matter is composed of very tiny angels.

if you examine the shadows versus the lighting on this "electron microscope" you can tell it's clearly a fake. Nice try, but I ain't buying it.

Although I believe the machine in question exists and is actually dubbed an "electron microscope", I don't believe it is, in fact, a microscope. Or that it is giving you an up close and very personal look at the Secret Life of Electrons. It more closely resembles a giant Viewmaster on steroids complete with fake pictures of "electrons". Don't let them fool you.

It is so much more fun just to stare at the sparkly gold plated bug. Why do I need a close up view of its eye? |
