Sitting there nicely paying bills all day (with of course the forums up to keep myself occupied). Get done, work on something else.

Go to get on game. Anxious to try out new shades textures I bought last night so I can finish new house!

I tell them every damned time, lay off on the rice, and instead of honoring my request, they just dump a ton of really piss poor fakey seasoned rice in my burrito. If I wanted that sucky rice I would order a freakin' side of it!!!!

Nolan, you crazy bastard. The rice is the best part after the meat! :)

When *I* go down to Chipotle, I ask for extra rice. I also get the double meat -- steak and chicken -- with onions and peppers. (I split this with the missus, of course, because with extra rice and double meat the thing is about the size of my head. Although once or twice I did feed myself exclusively with one of these monsters after an 18 hour work-induced fasting)

I about fainted when I learned McDonald's owns the Chipotle franchise.

You're looking at it from the wrong perspective. Let's say you have a nice big plate in front of you. You have a delicious pile of cilantro-spiked rice, some delicious grilled meats and cheeses, and delicious vegetables.

Now, Chipotle Dude does you a favor. He bundles that delicious plate of food into a tortilla and then wraps it up for you to eat. Boom!

Also, I dunno, I fucking love rice. Maybe I'm weird, but when I go to Pei Wei, I like to order a box of brown rice and eat that shit plain after I finish my main dish. When I'm making a pot of rice at home, I'll... test the stuff by taking a big old spoonful and swallowing it down unadorned with spices before using it to cook or whatever.

I'm weird. :(

Nah, I love Mexican fried rice and all, but I like it separate from my burrito. I like it bean and cheesiness. No rice sucking up all the flavor.

I always go no rice, no beans. Well, sometimes light rice, tho the Chipotles I go to is pretty competently run. The rice isn't bad, if you want to be inundated with cilantro...

To answer Coco,
Sunday night, 11:42, 7 hours and 18 minutes left before I have to get up for work. Realising I could have done more than the laundry and dishes today if I hadn't glued myself to SL and the forums. And then, all of a sudden people start talking Chipotle and I get hungry. Must.. sleeeppp....

Chipotle is one of those things I keep living for. I go to the original one on Evans in Denver nearly every week.

You know what sucks though? Our firm got the chance to renovate the space and design the second Chipotle ever, and maybe become the corporate architect. But my boss passed on it. "Not into tenant finishes" he said. Now there are hundreds of them. *sigh* for missed opportunities.

Can't say I've ever had rice in a burrito, but along those same lines I remember when I first moved here to Maryland and ordered a pulled-pork bbq sandwich. It had coleslaw on it! WTF?! They do that everyplace here. Gee, is the plate not big enough that you had to put the side dish IN my sandwich?! That's just sick and wrong.

I used to live in El Paso in the '80s. There was this little mom and pop Mexican restaurant near me that sold beef and potato burritos.

I would stage a fake "I was murdered" thread to have one now! Not really. :o But really, those were the best burritos I have ever eaten. All home made, even the tortillas. MMMMmmm!

Oh, by the way, fake "I was murdered" threads SUCK.

Know what else sucks? You're driving on a 2 lane road, speed limit 55. The car in front of you is going 40 in all the places you cannot pass and will not use the slow moving vehicle turn-outs. When you reach places you can safely pass the idiot, he/she speeds up to 70. That really SUCKS.

Oh I agree. People who are out for a Sunday drive need to get on the side roads. Then there's the ones with a phone growing out of their ear, absolutely no concept of the world around them because they are lost in conversation, putting along in the left lane, going under the speed limit. Dolts.

To touch upon my last post a bit more - drivers who are so bad at managing time that they think they have to do 90 mph while tailgating, making dangerous multi-lane manuevers, so as to endanger the lives of countless others due to their procrastination, should have their licenses revoked. Or maybe locked in a room with Hannibal Lecter. :eek:

And what the hell happened to Taco Bell?? It used to be so good..oh..about 20-25 years ago. It sucks these days. :(

Onions in almost any form
Reading a good, suspensful book, or watching a great movie, and having someone unable to resist hinting about the ending.
Adam Carolla's (sp?) talk show, which is a shame since I liked his humor in the past
