So, if someone approaches an undercover Spotsylvania Sheriff officer with a contract murder scheme, they should kill the intended victim so they can get a conviction in court. Gotta love their airtight logic here.

Are they serious?

HOLY HELL! My husband and everyone else in the department would be fired on the spot if they pulled that crap here. (Northern CA) If it's illegal, and a cop does it to get a conviction, IT IS STILL ILLEGAL. That could get thrown out of court. WTF? I still think they should give IQ tests to potential officers.
