Vegetarian Can't Bring Self To Eat IHOP's Funny Face Pancakes February 1, 2006 | Issue 42•05 BREMERTON, WA—During breakfast at the International House of Pancakes Monday, vegetarian Erica Legrand said she could not eat her Funny Face pancakes. "Not with those big maraschino eyes staring up at me," Legrand said. Good spoof by the Onion, as usual  . Although as a vegetarian, I can say the reason most vegetarians won't eat at IHOP is because they charge you to NOT put any meat on your plate.  Honest. And every dish has some meat on it, including the pancake breakfast dishes. They say it's because it's a special request, and so have the right to charge. I simply refuse to pay them to remove an ingredient from my meal that saves them money. Taco Bell has also started doing this... and now I won't go there either LOL.
