I voted "is it a monster" because clearly "is it a monster" doesn't apply in this case.

From: Vares Solvang I voted "is it a monster" because clearly "is it a monster" doesn't apply in this case. Clearly! I however have not decided which way to vote. Still in debate with myself over it. Is there some moral conclusion one could draw over whther it is a monster or it is a monster? Such a dilema.

The way I handled it was to ask myself: "What does it mean to me if it's a monster as apposed to if it's a monster?" One you take a good hard look at it from that point of view, it's usually pretty obvious what the correct answer is for you. Hope that helps!

Gosh, I never really thought of it that way! OK, I know now. I am going to vote "it is a monster". That's the only logical clear choice here.
Hope my disagreeing with you doe not damage our short lived acquaintance.

Personally, I feel that it is not in fact a hill, that the possible monster is coming over, but maybe a monster in and of itself. So I think it is a large, grassy monster posing as a hill, with a possible monster coming over it. Maybe a large, rock-like monster is the hill ... much like the rock-monster in The Never Ending Story. THAT would make a good monster/hill for a monster to come over. Define monster though. I recall when I was a child, I used to think there were monsters in my closet. There were not, in fact, monsters in the closet though. What about the 'monsters' on The Muppet Show, or Sesame Street? I suppose they were monsters, as in fact that is how they were described, but they were not traditionally frightening. Mayhaps you mean a more standard Hollywood 'Movie Monster'? Do you mean a monster in a traditional non-fantasy sense? Like ... a pedophile, or axe murderer, Enron executive, or one of those characters from 'Veggie Tales'? They could all be decribed as 'monsters'. In the end, I think I voted prematurely. I will need a more clear look at the object coming over the hill before I decide if it is or is not a monster. I feel like I have failed this poll. I am truely sorry BTW, does the monster have pie? Is the monster a Pie-Monster? A monster that was nothing but a large, angry, sharp-toothed apple-pie ... bitter (both in taste and attitude) about the current state of its native countries decline over the past decade or so? That'd be scary, yet possibly delicious. Mmmm .. monsters.

The real question is...
07-05-2006 08:15
...why whatever it is seems to be getting so excited by a hill, of all things. Some kind of terrain-o-philia thing?
