Do you own an iPod Video? Maybe you can help.

I'm trying to convert music videos/movies into iPod compatible files. I found out I had to get Quicktime Pro to do this (export option). So I bought it. I exported a movie and uploaded it to the iPod. All went well, except there was no audio (video only).

I discovered through more reading that exporting what I think was called "Muxed" MPEG files would result in a loss of audio.

I've been running around in circles trying to find a solution. The only thing I came across was a demuxer for the MAC. Which could possibly help fix this problem, except that I'm on a PC.

Anyone have any idea how I can demux or convert those annoying muxed files I have to something that will convert properly in Quicktime Pro through the export to iPod option.

Thanks in advance. A free utility to help me would be great, as I'm still wincing from having bought QTPro and it being all but useless to me so far.

I can't even get mine into my IPOD. :(

I follow the directions and it doesn't work.

Is it giving you a message about some or all of the files including "such and such" can't be copied to your iPod because it doesn't support that file? Or something like that?

That's what I was getting. The only way I could get a movie file onto there was to open up the movie in Quicktime Pro, and export it. You choose the option that exports it to iPod 320x600 (or something like that).

That will get the files in there, but you might have the same problem as me: No sound.

Frustrating!
