I love this band! Some of their earlier stuff was almost "glam-rock", but they moved beyond that and have been very innovative. I was very sad to hear about Dimebag's passing.

Cool Willow... shame it won't work in (my copy of) Firefox... May not just be you, I'm at work on IE and it was giving me an error a couple times, just refreshed now and it's working for me... Very cool find Willow.  EDIT > OMFG, and it's free. I love this. And I can type "Pantera" into it. Sweeeeeaaeeeeeeaaeeett. This website impregnated me. And then my water broke. _____________________

One other note to the other people enjoying this...
I had a hankerin' to listen to "Time and Time again" by Papa Roach. Of course, typing in the song finds SIMILAR songs, but not the song itself... BUT "reverse" it, take the first similar song that shows up on my search for "Time and Time again" and search for THAT, and the song I intended to hear was one of the top 3. _____________________

Betcha if ya update to that, it'll work fine. Haven't tried it at home yet on my Firefox copy. I'll post if I have problems with it on Firefox 'n Flash 7. _____________________

Actually - I liked it so much I was wondering if there's any way to use it with SL... so I emailed Vic Wong at Pandora to tell them about Second Life and ask whether there was any way to use it with SL, whether they are happy for it to be used in that way, and if there was any possibility of developing the service to be used with SL in the future. This is what I got back... "Thanks for the suggestion! Our streams are currently delivered one track at a time. This is because of the interactive nature of Pandora. How you interact with the stations determines what song comes up next. Thus, I'm not sure how easy it would be to impliment a shoutcast stream URL. I actually have a number of friends from college working with Linden Labs. Perhaps if the demand is high enough we could come up with a more direct integration. It definitely sounds like a great idea. Best, Vic @ Pandora" So spread the word, get some more comments in here or to Vic via email - and you may find that you'll be able to use this service with SL in the not-too-distant future! |

Wow....this is amazing, finally something to listen to at work (when nobody is around, heh...they hate my music). Thanks Willow, I am definitely trying it at home too, and SL..and anywhere else I can.
