I have been playing Guild Wars on and off when I get bored of SL but I often get bored with games. I am curious as to what peoople who have tried both Guild Wars & Wows ee as the differences and which they prefer.
I dont know how to make a poll or would do that too but I am more interested in feedback of game play.

Guild Wars I liked but I could never get anyone to play with me. I think it is a better game if you want something to play, alone without being bothered with other people. You can get the computer people to play with you in GW and you don't have to beg people.
WoW is a better overall experience. The only problems with WoW is that you have to play with other people for some experiences, instances, some quests, etc. People suck, so being forced to play with other people is the worst thing about WoW.

What Ebony said.
Plus this... GW is a visual treat. Really, its quite stunning. The negs are I didnt like the lack of jumping and that there wasnt true free movement. There were always these invisible barriers you had to navigate around.
WoW was much more cartoony. I liked the characters and got into my toon more in WoW but really disliked being forced together with LOLOMGWTF Duuuuude types that want your help but either leave you to die, tell you you suck when they run in with no plan and die or get what they want and bail without so much as a thanks. These kinds of games are way more fun when you play with a group you know, or at least are aquainted with.
GW also fell flat for me at lvl 20. At that point its pretty much PvP and more of the same.

GW makes it possible for people from all over the world to play together (using the international instances). People on european WOW servers can't play with people on american servers and vice versa. Boo @ blizzard

In GW you can play with anyone, no matter where they live. I live in the US and cannot play with my Euro friends in WoW, which sucks big time. GW is graphically better than WoW, but it's not as social. You mostly do quests alone as when you wonder around you will not see other people unless you are in one of the town places. WoW is better all around I would have to say. I cannot stand the fact you cannot jump or wonder around (invisible boundaries) so much in GW. Another thought is both games are 50 bucks up front, but only WoW has a monthly fee. I play EQ2 which is another great game in this same genre (graphics are up there with GW, but the game isn't as user friendly as WoW). Hope this helps a little

Yes I played WoW and everquest 2 I diddnt like everyquest 2 to much because of the whole not really user friendly thing [ as mimi said] and it confused me and I dont know I like to socialize AND fight....I havent played guild wars yet but I was looking into it...Wow is a really fun game but sometimes you get those roleplaying stiffs that just ignore you when you ask for help or you get the childish OMFGRORLFROFLROFLRYAHAHAHAHYHEAHH1!!!! [ as mimi said] but WoW is fun for me because I like the whole group fighting thing [even if we suck and keep dying] and socializing and leveling and what not....and I like how WoW has that sort of toonish feel. Though I quit WoW a while ago because I kept changing my race/profession/realms/etc so I got bored doing the newbie quests so dont do that because you go out of your mind that way and never level [thats if you get WoW]..
[EDIT]
Oh and there is a new WoW expansion pack coming out with even 1 or 2 new races for the horde and alliance and level cap at 70 [ I think]

I've played by myself and had fun. Right now playing with the Feted Inner Horde is fun even when we aren't actually Questing together, just the chatter is nice. Most of the time I'm alone and then I'll run into someone cool to fight with and hang with them for a while before we go on our separate ways. Everyone in the FIH started from scratch, which is nice and some of us are in the upper teens already while some are in the middle, like me, and some are in the single digits, but it's cool. Sorry, I don't know about GuildWars.
